החיים כטיול

מכירים את זה שאתם לפתע נתקלים בחשבון אינסטגרם וחושבים לעצמכם, הלוואי והייתי שם? ובכן, הצלם עמרי טאוב, בן 30, במקור מכרמיאל גר בשנה וחצי האחרונות בפיליפינים. אז איך הכל התחיל? זה הסיפור שלו-

Do you know what's it's like to run into an Instagram account and think to yourself, I wish I was there? Well, 30 years old Photographer Omri Taub has neem living in the Philippines over the past year and a half. How did it begin? This is his story-

"תמיד אהבתי לצלם, אך מעולם לא לקחתי את זה צעד קדימה, בפברואר 2017 יצאתי לטיול גלישה בסרי-לנקה, ובת זוגתי הטרייה, טרישה החליטה שהיא מצטרפת אלי.
נפגשנו שם והיא הגיעה עם רחפן, כמובן שהוא לא נשאר אצלה הרבה זמן ואני התחלתי לצלם איתו ומשם הכל היסטוריה . כך יצא שמאהבה אחת נולדה עוד אהבה ואחרי אפילו עוד אהבה- בת זוג, גלישה וצילום".

"I always liked to take photos, but I never took it a step forward. In February 2017 I went on a surfing trip in Sri Lanka, and my new girlfriend, Tricia decided she was joining me. We met there and she came with her drone, of course it didn't stay with her for a long time and I started using it and the rest is history. So out of one love another was born and then came another one- my partner, surfing and photography".

האם אתה מתמקד בעיקר בצילום סטילס או ווידאו? 

"כשהתחלתי לצלם זה היה בעיקר סטילס, אך לאט לאט עולם הווידיאו גם איתגר ומשך אותי, לאחרונה סיימתי פרויקט מדהים שצולם אך ורק באמצעות רחפן".

Do you prefer stills or video photography?

"When I started it was mostly all about stills, later on video was my main focus point, recently I've even finished an amazing project that was shot only by my drone".

מה מאפיין את סגנון הצילום שלך? 

"אני חושב שאני מאד אוהב קווים סימטריים וזה ניכר בעבודות שלי. אני מחפש קווים כמה שיותר נקיים, וכמובן כל מה שקשור לעולם הגלישה, אך מכיוון שאני מעדיף להיות בתוך המים לא תראו תמונות רבות מדי של הגולשים עצמם".

What best describes the style of your photos?

"I think I like symmetrical lines and it shows in my work, I'm looking for lines as clean as possible, and of course everything related to the world of surfing, but since I prefer to be in the water, you will not see too many pictures of the surfers themselves".

האם צילום זה בעיקר תחביב מבחינתך או שאתה רואה בזה כמקצוע בו תרצה לעסוק בהמשך?

"אני מאד אוהב צילום ואת עבודת העריכה, זה עבודה ותחביב מבחינתי באותה מידה".

Is photography a hobby for you, or do you see it as your profession?

"I really like photography and editing, it's a job and a hobby for me as much".

לאילו הישגים מיוחדים הגעת מבחינתך בכל הקשור לצילום?

"בכל פעם שרק מתעניינים בתמונה שאני צילמתי זה הישג, אני מאד מעריך כל לייק ותגובה שאנשים משאירים לי באינסטגרם ובפייסבוק, זה לא מובן מאליו בכלל. כל לייק דוחף אותי קדימה לצאת לצילום נוסף. הספקתי לעשות כמה סרטוני תדמית אבל היום אני בעיקר בשיתוף פעולה עם מעצבי פנים שרוכשים את הצילומים".

What special achievements did you make regarding photography?

"Every time someone interested in a picture I took, it's an achievement, I really appreciate every like and comment that people leave on my Instagram and Facebook accounts, it's not taken for granted. I was also able to achieve collaborations with interior designers".

מה הלוקיישן בו הכי נהנית לצלם?

"הונג קונג היא ללא ספק עיר עם הרבה נופים ומקומות לצלם, כבר הייתי שם ובדיוק בזמן הכתבה הזו כבר הספקתי לתכנן טיול נוסף לשם".

What was the location you most enjoyed to shoot at?

"Hong Kong has amazing views, I've even been able to plan my next trip there".

מה נותן לך השראה לצילומים?

"הבת זוג שלי טרישה, היא מלאת השראה כמו שאפשר לראות בבלוג שלה- psimonmyway@. בכל פעם אנחנו מגלים יחד מקום חדש, כל אחד מהזווית שלו".

What inspires you?

My Girlfriend Trisha, she's as inspirational as it gets as you can see in her blog- every time we discover someplace new from our own perspective".

ומתי החלטת שאתה עובר לפילפינים?

"כיום אני גר שם ביחד עם טרישה והכלב שלי, מוטקה, שטס איתי מישראל. למי שעוד לא הבין טרישה היא במקור מהפיליפינים, בלוגרית של טיולים שהוזמנה לישראל כדי לראות את החיים האמיתיים במדינה ולא כמו שהם מוצגים בחדשות. אחרי אותו טיול היא החליטה שהיא נשארת פה, וכך היה במשך שנה. בכל פעם שויזת התייר שלה עמדה לפוג היא יצאה מהארץ לטיול של חודש ואז חזרה.

במהלך השנה הזו היינו ביחד בסרי-לנקה, מרוקו, הונג קונג ובמלדיביים, כשחזרנו נראה שיש מכסה של ימים בשנה בהן אפשר לשהות בארץ כתייר. לאחר שכנועים רבים היא הורשתה להיכנס ל-10 ימים שלאחריהם חזרה לפיליפינים ואני הצטרפתי אליה, בתקווה שנוכל להסדיר את מעמדה פה בארץ ונוכל לחזור ביום מן הימים".

And when did you decide you were moving to the Philippines?

"Today I live there with Trisha and my dog, Motke, who flies with me from Israel. To those who have not yet understood, Trisha is originally from the Philippines, a travel blogger who was invited to Israel to see it for real.  After that trip she decided to stay, that lasted for her year till her visa expired.

During this year we were together in Sri Lanka, Morocco, Hong Kong and the Maldives. When we returned, there seemed to be a quota of days a year when you could stay in Israel as a tourist. After many persuasions, she was allowed to enter for 10 days after which she returned to the Philippines and I joined her, hoping that we could arrange her status here in Israel and we could return one day".

אז אם בת הזוג שלך בלוגרית, אתם עובדים למעשה יחד? האם אתה מצלם לבלוג שלה?

"טרישה היא ההשראה שלי, הבלוג שלה מרתק וסוחף אחריו אינספור קוראים שנפגשים איתנו בכל מקום בעולם, אפילו בישראל אירחנו אצל אחותי ארוחת שישי בה נכחה עוקבת שלה שהגיעה במיוחד מהפיליפינים.

בבלוג שלה כל תמונות הרחפן אני למעשה צילמתי, מאז שאנחנו ביחד אני גם מצלם את תמונות הסטילס מהקרקע, אבל היא זו שבוחרת את הפריימים והזויות, והיא גם עורכת לעצמה. היא מקצוענית אמיתית ואני לומד ממנה המון".

So if your partner is a blogger, are you actually working together? Are you taking photos for her blog?

"Trisha is my inspiration, her blog is fascinating and is followed by countless readers who meet with us anywhere in the world. Even in Israel, we hosted a Friday dinner at my sister's home where a follower came to meet her especially from the Philippines.

In her blog I take with my drone some photos, since we are together I also photograph the stills, but she is the one who chooses the frames and the angles, and she also edits for herself. She is a real professional and I learn a lot from her".

האם יצא לך לטייל באזורים שנחשבים לפחות מתויירים?

"בטיול האחרון שלנו בויטנאם התארחנו אצל משפחה בכפר קטן ליד האנוי, זו הייתה חוויה נהדרת, רק ככה ניתן להבין את התרבות העתיקה של המקומיים, כמובן שאשמח להפנות הלאה את מי שירצה מידע נוסף".

Have you ever traveled in areas that probably don't draw the attention of tourists?

"On our last trip to Vietnam, we were staying with a family in a small village near Hanoi. It was a great experience, and this is the only way to understand the ancient culture of the locals. Of course I would be happy to send anyone who wants more information".

מה התכניות שלכם להמשך?

"אנחנו בדיוק מתכנים נסיעה להונג קונג, ומשם נחזור לפיליפינים. יש סיכוי שנגיע שוב למלדיביים, ואם לא אז הכל פתוח, בהודו עוד לא הייתי ולדעתי נגיע לשם השנה".

What are your future plans?

"We are planning on going to Hong-Kong, then back to the Philippines, with a chance of going to the Maldives, we plan as we go. We haven’t been yet to India, I guess it's on out list for this year."
